Install approximately 2,900 feet of 8" dia. culinary waterline. The new waterline will replace the aging waterline within existing streets. The work includes pipe, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, water services, testing, disinfection, asphalt patching, and associated work as indicated in the contract documents. The work will also include the installation of catch basins and manholes and approximately 30 feet of 15” dia. and 115 feet of 30” dia RCP storm drain pipe.

RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Office of South Ogden City, 3950 South Adams Avenue, South Ogden, Utah 84403, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, for the 2025 40th Street Waterline Replacement Project for South Ogden City Corporation.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Install approximately 2,900 feet of 8" dia. culinary waterline. The new waterline will replace the aging waterline within existing streets. The work includes pipe, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, water services, testing, disinfection, asphalt patching, and associated work as indicated in the contract documents. The work will also include the installation of catch basins and manholes and approximately 30 feet of 15” dia. and 115 feet of 30” dia RCP storm drain pipe.
LOCATION OF WORK: The work is generally located on 40th Street between Riverdale Road and Washington Blvd. in South Ogden City.
COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the contract documents for Schedule A must be completed within 75 days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. If Schedule B is awarded, an additional 15 days will be granted, extending the total contract time to 90 days.
OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the aforementioned office of South Ogden City.
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents, provided by Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, may be purchased and downloaded online for a non-refundable fee of $30.00 at https://www.wasatchcivil.com.
BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to South Ogden City Corporation as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will secure insurance, performance, and payment bonds, and promptly execute the Contract.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions concerning this project shall be directed to the Project Engineer.
OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: South Ogden City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the City.
